Men'shevik - member of the moderate wing of the Russian Social-Democratic Workers' Party. The moderate wing was dubbed the Men'shenstvo (Minority) by Lenin, who styled his wing Bol'shinstvo (Majority) -- exactly the reverse of the truth.
