Jump to navigationJump to search- Edmund Dwyer Gray (1845 – 1888): an Irish newspaper proprietor, politician and MP in the UK House of Commons. He was also Lord Mayor and later High Sheriff of the City of Dublin and became a strong supporter of Charles Stewart Parnel. He launched'the newspaper The Evening Telegraph in Dublin in 1871. The newspaper was Irish nationalist in its politics. It was originally a weekly newspaper but soon became daily (except Sundays).
