To link a word that is hyphenated over two lines: put the whole word you want to make the page for and then the hyperlink'd text separated by the "|" sign. For instance: [catapelting|cata-] for the first line, and then [catapelting|pelting] on the next line.
Markup for sigla (although you can just cut and paste the character from here too):
