  • "Panis Angelicus": Musical setting by composer Cesar Franck of words written by St. Thomas Aquinas. Franck's setting was for tenor voice, harp, cello, and organ; John McCormack, the Irish tenor admired by Joyce, recorded it in 1927 and famously performed it in Phoenix Park at the 1932 Eucharistic Congress in Dublin.
