- burnt: suggests the end of a World Age by fire → compare with baretholobruised heels and hurricane hips for destruction by water and wind
- burnt head: 1) match head .. i.e. he has lit a match, 2) head as in penis, i.e. erection, 3) burnt + head as in head of beer = porter (he is drinking), 4) burnt head = redhead (he has red hair)
