- mandamus: judicial order issued from a superior court and to an inferior court, commanding some specified thing to be done.
- mandarin: variety of orange tree
- Pasqua (Italian): Easter, in celebration of which priests wear gold (yellow) vestments
- verde (Italian): green
- verdad (Spanish): truth
- Vendidads: subset of the texts of the Avesta, the primary religious text of Zoroastrianism
