Norwegian word according to Terence McKenna

In his two-hour talk on Finnegan's Wake (available currently on YouTube – Terence McKenna - Surfing Finnegans Wake – time: 41 min.) McKenna states that he has been informed (he doesn't say by whom) that this is a Norwegian word that means "the act of falling from a hill". Being Norwegian myself I cannot immediately confirm any resemblance to any word of the modern language that I know of. __meco 14:09, 26 March 2011 (EDT)
