  • From Sleepless3: I am new here. Is there any way to annotate a page to say who is speaking, who are the "he" and "she" references to, and what they are talking about? I think that would be more useful than just explaining a word here or there.

There are many pages that badly need cleaning up or reformatting. Perhaps we should collect them here, so that anyone who has a spare minute can fix one. Also a warning: dashes have been done with the markup <STRIKE> ; ; </STRIKE>, which shows up  ; ; like this. It is best to replace these with the (correct) markup &mdash; which shows up — like this. But beware! Look carefully at the text in the neighbourhood of the STRIKE markup. There were several places where words were missing. Don't replace STRIKE markup without first checking the text against a printed copy. Similar care needs to be taken if the italic markup <I> or other markup is visible on the formatted page: often it is a sign that the page was imported incorrectly and that the text needs to be checked. Pages needing fixing: Page 18 Rotated F's on bottom line need proper treatment (images) Page 71 Fixed - JoeG Page 72 Fixed - JoeG Page 119 Image missing Page 121 Image missing Page 176 Much text missing Page 198 Much text missing Page 200 Fixed this (JoeG) Page 219 Fixed - Pemberton Page 256 Fixed - JoeG Page 260 to Page 308 badly broken; much work needed. Dr. Theall's original copy scanned to create the ASCII had Joyce's corrections as a separate pamphlet.

These may well be the last corrigenda for now. Good luck with
       updating
       your site.

Finally, a favour. If someone sends you corrections in the future, I
would be grateful if you could remember to forward them to me too,
so that I can correct my copy as well. I will, of course, do the
same if corrections arrive through my site.
       Ta,
       Raphael (http://www.fweet.org/)
